Graduate Assistantship - CMU eSports Program
Position Overview
The successful candidate will assist with the management of eSports and the Competitive Gaming program.  The eSport Graduate Assistant will assist with the daily operations of the eSports program, including practices, matches and team management.  In addition, the candidate will also coordinate special events, camps and tournaments. 

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the management of eSports Center including staffing, practices and software management.
  • Assist with the oversight of all eSports varsity teams 
  • Develop and implement Competitive Gaming events, tournaments & leagues
  • Coordinate external eSports tournaments/events in community & local schools
  • Coordinate successful marketing and promotion plans for both eSports & Competitive Gaming programs
  • Collaborate with academic departments and programs, University Recreation and community partners
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree, with experience working with students from diverse backgrounds, event planning, budgeting, significant leadership experience, strong communication (oral & written) skills, and acceptance into a graduate program at Central Michigan University.  Previous eSports experience is preferred.
 
Compensation: Tuition remission of up to twenty (20) hours of graduate credits per academic year (fall, spring & summer terms), monthly stipend, fees and on campus housing.

2020 NACE Convention

Join us for the third annual NACE National Convention in Kansas City, MO, from July 22 through July 24. This year will feature sessions and workshops suggested by our member institutions for the benefit of new and current esports programs. Members will have the opportunity to discuss new legislation initiatives, network with fellow NACE institutions, and learn more about NACE's plans for the 2020-21 academic year.
