Esports Coordinator
Brief Description of Duties:
The Esports Coordinator is part of the Department of Recreation & Wellness and reports to the Assistant Director of Intramural and Sport Clubs. As an inaugural role at Stony Brook University, the Esports Coordinator is a valued member of the Student Health, Wellness, and Prevention Services team. This role coordinates the University’s Esports teams, including recruiting, mentoring, and supporting diverse students to succeed in their team-based competitions.

| Requirements |
Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):
Bachelor’s degree (foreign equivalent or higher). Two (2) years of full time competitive Esports experience (as a coach or player) involving League of Legends, Overwatch, Rocket League and Valorant, or other multiplayer online video games that have team-based elements. Experience with software and/or hardware associated with esports (i.e. ggLeap). Experience working with a diverse student population. Must have, keep and maintain the appropriate valid NYS Driver’s License; have a motor vehicle record which is free from major violations or a pattern of repeat violations. |
