Job Overview

Under general direction and supervision by the Assistant Director for Student Organizations, the Program Manager for Competitive Organizations has primary oversight of the club sports, esports, and AIC organization communities. This includes the training and compliance of competitive groups on campus, as well as support surrounding organization travel, funding, and risk. The Program Manager for Competitive Organizations will supervise the Graduate Assistant for Club Sports.

Essential Functions

Competitive Organizations:
  • Oversight of the Esports Community o Partner with 1819 Innovation Hub to support Esports Innovation Lab.
  • Serve on UC Esports Consortium.
  • Ensure compliance with UC and conference policies and procedures.
  • Provide students with opportunities to develop leadership and programming skills.
  • Support organization earned revenue.
  • Support Club Sports Organizations o Work alongside Graduate Assistant to make sure that Club Sports Community has all necessary support and guidance.
  • Oversee training/compliance of competitive groups (including AIC, Esports, Club Sports).
  • Support competitive group funding, travel, and risk.
  • Support competitive group marketing strategies to recruit participants.
  • Lead specialty trainings for competitive group advisors.
  • Coordinate fundraising/scholarship opportunities through the UC Foundation and Cincinnati community.
  • Implement assessment measures for competitive groups.
Student Activities & Leadership Development:
  • Manage operational expenses within an established budget.
  • Assist with coordination/execution of student employee trainings.
  • Assist in efforts to achieve annual SALD office-wide goals.
  • Other duties as discussed.
Supervision:
  • Supervise the Graduate Assistant for Club Sports.

Requirements Required Education
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
