Director of Esports Programs
The University of Mississippi is seeking applicants for the position of Director of Esports Programs. This position provides leadership in developing Esports Programs offered at the University of Mississippi with the goal to build the premier Esports program in the SEC and one of the top programs in the country realizing the potential of this unique opportunity to attract, retain, and develop a diverse set of high achieving students. The Director of Esports Programs ensures compliance with university policies and procedures; manages all fiscal affairs; and provides leadership to the Esports Programs. Opportunities for teaching may be available to the successful candidate commensurate with their academic expertise and University needs. Requirements Essential Functions These essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following. Additional essential functions may be identified and included by the hiring department. Directs, develops, and promotes Esports programs. Establishes and implements departmental goals based on strategic objectives. Plans, develops, and manages program budgets. Provides guidance and direction for team players and support staff. Builds and maintains collaborative relationships with outside agencies in the Esports industry and the university’s academic and administrative departments, engaging faculty, staff, and students. Minimum Education/Experience Education: Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university. AND Experience: Three (3) years of experience related to the above described duties. Substitution Statement: Related experience may be substituted for education, on a basis set forth and approved by the Department of Human Resources.
